Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS), formerly known as Centre for Spatial Database Management and Solutions, is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) located at Noida, near India’s capital city of New Delhi. It has been actively involved in the field of development research since 1997, and is continuously striving towards achieving greater heights through a wide spectrum of activities. Keeping in view the expanded scope and outreach of organisation's work, it adopted a new name and set of objectives to represent the organisational mandate in a better way. The organisation aims to achieve its mandate of using ICT for development not only through the new advanced communication technology media, but also through traditional medium like print. The aim is to reach out to more and more people from all walks of life and to transform them into more aware citizens with the power of information.

CSDMS believes in working with multiple partners and consultants to mutually share knowledge. It provides platforms for sharing knowledge to partners through globally renowned conferences like e-Asia and e-India which attract academicians and researchers from all accross the globe.

CSDMS now has a 50 member strong team of dedicated and like-minded people. A perfect blend of young and experienced minds who make the organisation both vibrant and rich with knowledge.

 CSDMS takes a great pleasure to announce that it has been entrusted to host the GKP Secretariat with effect from 1 May 2010 till 30 April 2011. As the very first initaitive, the new GKP Secreatriat has announced the Call for “Innovation Incubation Grant” (IIG) from the GKP Members.  Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) has been entrusted to host secretariat services for the GKP Network for a period of one year.

 A new secretariat of GKP has become operational at CSDMS office based at Noida, India with effect from 1st May 2010. CSDMS would be providing operational and administrative support to the activities of GKP as a global network
