The monthly print magazine i4d and i4d Portal (i4d.eletsonline.com) intended for those who are involved in the use of ICT for development of underprivileged communities with a hope that it will help to foster a growing network by keeping the community up to date on the activities in this sector. Since its launch, i4d has been widely appreciated and most sought-after advocacy and documentation service in the ICT for socio-economic development sector in Asia. Several national and international conferences have been used as platforms to introduce the i4d magazine as a key documentation and dissemination strategy.
The e-gov magazine and portal (egov.eletsonline.com) initiative started in January 2005, for specific thematic research and documentation of e-governance programmes. Keeping in line with the National level developments, and evolution of the National eGovernance Action Plan, and steering of the vision and mission of NeGP by the Government of India, the programme was created in CSDMS to provide research and knowledge inputs. CSDMS is a member of the Asia ICT Policy community of practitioners being coordinated by Association of Progressive Communications.
The focus of Digital Learning magazine along with the portal (digitalLEARNING.eletsonline.com) is to highlight and bring national and global discussions and relevant decisions/developments in ICT and Education to the forefront of the development community. Aim is to identify and evaluate what and how education stakeholders might do better manage ICT inputs to the education process and better use ICT to achieve improved educational outcomes.
CSDMS has launched a new programme initiative in 2007, called eAgriculture, covering the domain of agriculture, agriculture marketing, and towards improving the lives of rural India through effective use of ICTs. This programme assumes its prominence in light of the recent structural changes in agriculture and the overall increasing role of ICTs in making relevant agriculture services and solutions available to the farmers and improving agriculture knowledge exchange.
The eHealth magazine and portal (ehealth.eletsonline.com) disseminate information on technology changes in healthcare and communicating that to all stakeholders -physicians, patients and industry. The magazine provides the best forum for the thought leaders in healthcare to express themselves, sharing their experience in this arena to enable its replication in other countries and situations.
Built on CSDMS and telecentre.org’s deep commitment to collaboration, telecentre magazine acts as an interface between telecentre leaders, solution providers, knowledge repositories, and decision makers. It acts as a repository of knowledge with various success stories, failures and lessons learned from the field.
Radioduniya magazine and portal (radioduniya.eletsonline.com) on Community Radio provide an insight into the happenings of the radio industry in India and around the world, the policies affecting the radio scenario, and all the recent developments relating to the community radio movement.
